Hexagon and Lissajous Art illustration generates line drawings based on Lissajous
figures. Lissajous curves are the family of curves described by the
parametric equations:
Two oscillations one along the x axis and the
other along the y axis when added result in a two dimensional motion. The
path traced is known as Lissajous figures.
Jules Antoine Lissajous (1822 1880) was a
French mathematician, after whom Lissajous figures are named. He invented
the harmonograph. A harmonograph is a mechanical device that can create
Lissajous curves or even more complex drawings.
