The Great Wall of China, and the Flower of
Life
The Great Wall of China (220 B.C
and 1368 - 1644 A.D.) was built to link existing
fortifications into a united defense system and better keep
invading Mongol tribes out of China. It is the largest
man-made monument ever to have been built and it is disputed
that it is the only one visible from space. Many thousands
of people must have given their lives to build this colossal
construction.
The Flower of Life is a
geometrical figure composed of multiple evenly-spaced,
overlapping circles, that are arranged so that they form a
flower-like pattern with a sixfold symmetry like a hexagon.
The center of each circle is on the circumference of six
surrounding circles of the same diameter.
The Flower of Life symbol is over six thousand years old.
Throughout human history, philosophers, artists, and
architects around the world have known this symbol for its
perfect form, proportion, and harmony.
